Bramall Lane is located approximately 1 mile south of Sheffield city centre, making it one of the most accessible stadiums in English football. Sheffield is excellently connected by rail to all major UK cities, and the ground is within easy walking distance or a short taxi/tram ride from the station.

Why Trains Work: Sheffield station is on the Midland Main Line with excellent connections from all over the country. The stadium is only 1 mile from the station – a pleasant 20-25 minute walk through the city centre, or a short tram/taxi ride. This is one of the easiest away days for public transport!

Getting from Sheffield Station to Bramall Lane
🚶 WALK (20-25 MINUTES) – RECOMMENDED!
The Route: Exit the station, walk straight down Sheaf Street towards the city centre. Continue through the vibrant city centre (great for pubs!), passing West Street and Division Street. Head south on London Road, and the stadium appears on your left. It’s all downhill too – much easier than the walk back!
Why Walk: Takes you through Sheffield’s best pub quarter, an easy route, and gets you warmed up!
Tip: The walk back up after the match is quite steep – consider the tram or taxi if you’re not feeling energetic!
🚋 SUPERTRAM (10 MINUTES)
Yellow Line to Halfway: From Sheffield Station (Cathedral stop), take the yellow tram towards Halfway. Get off at either Cricket Inn Road (5 min walk) or Bramall Lane stop. Trams run every 10 minutes.
Cost: Approximately £2.80 single, £4.80 return
Tip: Much easier than the uphill walk back to the station after the match!
