🐝 ABOUT THE GTECH COMMUNITY STADIUM
The Gtech Community Stadium has been home to Brentford Football Club since 2020, when the club finally said goodbye to their beloved Griffin Park after 116 years of history.
Located in Brentford, West London, just alongside the M4 motorway, this modern 17,250-capacity stadium represents a new chapter for The Bees whilst maintaining the fierce community spirit and passion that has always defined the club.
The purpose-built venue offers excellent facilities throughout, brilliant sightlines from all areas, and an atmosphere that belies its relatively modest size. Though many fans still feel nostalgic for Griffin Park’s character and charm, the Gtech Community Stadium has quickly established itself as a worthy successor and a proper fortress on matchdays.
Brentford FC — The Bees — are one of English football’s most remarkable success stories. Founded in 1889, the club spent more than 70 years outside the top two divisions before its recent rise under visionary ownership and innovative management. From League Two to the Premier League in just over a decade, Brentford’s data-driven approach and commitment to developing young talent has made them one of the most admired clubs in world football.
The famous red and white stripes (with occasional gold highlights) have been worn since the early days, and the bee badge reflects the club’s West London roots. Brentford supporters are passionate, knowledgeable, and fiercely proud of their club’s unique identity and sustainable approach.
The atmosphere at the Gtech Community Stadium is brilliant, particularly when the Bees are on the attack. Despite Premier League status, Brentford have maintained their community values and remain one of football’s most likeable success stories.

🗺️ STADIUM LOCATION MAP
Gtech Community Stadium Address: Lionel Road South, Brentford, London, TW8 0RU
🚂 BY TRAIN — The Recommended Choice
Why Trains Work: Brentford is exceptionally well connected by rail and the London Underground. Multiple stations serve the area, making it accessible from across London and the UK. Combined with limited parking and London traffic/congestion charging, public transport is by far the best option for away supporters.
Main Station Options:
🔴 Brentford (15-min walk): South Western Railway from London Waterloo. Change at Clapham Junction or Waterloo from most UK stations. Walk along Brentford High Street (pubs and food)
🟡 Kew Bridge (20-min walk): South Western Railway from London Waterloo. Slightly longer walk but quieter route, nice pubs near the station
🔴 South Ealing (15-min walk): Piccadilly Line (London Underground). Excellent for those coming from central London or tube-connected areas
Journey Times to London Stations:
To London Waterloo (then Brentford/Kew Bridge):
🔴 Manchester: 2h 15min to Euston, then tube/change for Waterloo
🟠 Birmingham: 1h 30min to Euston, then tube/change for Waterloo
🟡 Leeds: 2h 30min to King’s Cross, then tube/change for Waterloo
🟢 Bristol: 1h 45min to Paddington, then tube to South Ealing or change for Waterloo
Note: From most UK cities, you’ll arrive at a London mainline station, then take the tube or change trains for Brentford/Kew Bridge/South Ealing. Allow 45-60 minutes for connections within London.
From Your Station to the Stadium:
From Brentford Station (15 minutes): Turn left out of station onto Brentford High Street. Follow the High Street (plenty of pubs and food) northwest, and continue straight until you reach the stadium. Well-signposted on matchdays.
From Kew Bridge Station (20 minutes): Exit station, turn right onto Kew Bridge Road, continue to Brentford High Street, turn left and follow to stadium. Quieter route with some nice pubs near the station.
From South Ealing Tube (15 minutes): Exit station onto South Ealing Road, walk west towards Brentford, follow signs to stadium. Straightforward walk, follow the crowds on matchdays.
🚗 BY CAR
NOT RECOMMENDED. Parking around the Gtech Community Stadium is extremely limited, with most nearby streets having residents-only permit restrictions. The stadium is in a residential area of West London, you’ll face London traffic, and you may be liable for the Congestion Charge depending on your route. Public transport is far superior.
If You Absolutely Must Drive:
From the M4 (West/East): Exit Junction 2 (Brentford), follow A4 Great West Road, then A315 towards Brentford town centre. Follow local signs to the stadium. Expect heavy traffic on matchdays.
From the M25 (North): Exit Junction 15, follow M4 east to Junction 2, then as above.
Congestion Charge Warning: Check whether your route passes through the London Congestion Charge zone (generally applies east of Kensington). Check tfl.gov.uk before travelling.
⚠️ PARKING REALITY
Stadium Car Parks: Minimal matchday parking, primarily for season ticket holders and disabled supporters. Public parking is not generally available.
Street Parking: Virtually impossible. Residents-only permits apply to nearly all nearby streets. You will be ticketed/towed if you park illegally.
Best Advice: Don’t drive to the stadium. If arriving by car, consider park and ride from outer London stations like Feltham, Hounslow, or Richmond, then train/tube to Brentford.
🏨 WHERE TO STAY IN BRENTFORD/WEST LONDON
