🔵 ABOUT THE HILL DICKINSON STADIUM

The Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock opened in August 2025, marking a historic new chapter for one of English football’s founding clubs. Located on Liverpool’s stunning UNESCO World Heritage waterfront, this state-of-the-art 52,888-capacity stadium is genuinely breathtaking. Built on the site of a Victorian dock, the stadium incorporates the historic dock wall into its design, creating a unique connection between Liverpool’s maritime heritage and its footballing future.

The waterfront location means supporters approach the ground with spectacular views across the River Mersey – this is one of the most dramatic stadium settings in world football. The stadium design by Dan Meis and Pattern Design pays homage to both Goodison Park’s traditional atmosphere and Liverpool’s dockland heritage. After 133 years at Goodison Park, Everton’s move to the waterfront represents the club’s ambition to compete at the highest level whilst honouring their proud history.

Everton Football Club – The Toffees – are one of England’s founding clubs, established in 1878 and a founding member of the Football League in 1888. The club has won 9 league championships (most recently 1986-87), 5 FA Cups, and 1 European Cup Winners’ Cup (1985).

Everton have spent more seasons in England’s top division than any other club – a remarkable record of sustained excellence spanning generations. The royal blue shirts have been worn since 1901, whilst the nickname “The Toffees” comes from either Ye Anciente Everton Toffee House or Mother Noblett’s Toffee Shop, both located near old Goodison Park in the Victorian era.

The club’s motto “Nil Satis Nisi Optimum” (Nothing But The Best Is Good Enough) reflects the high standards and proud traditions that define Everton. The steep stands bring fans close to the pitch, recreating the intimidating atmosphere of the old Gwladys Street End, whilst modern facilities and technology create a world-class matchday experience. The south stand is a spectacular single-tier home end for 13,000 fans – one of the largest in the Premier League.
